About me

I hold a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Universidad Interamericana de Panamá. I complemented that with a diploma in Malabsorption Syndrome and Nutritional Management of Digestive Disorders, and an international certificate in biochemical test interpretation, which is what allows me to integrate your laboratory results into the plan rather than treat them as an appendix. I am currently reading for an MSc in eHealth at Universidad Europea de Madrid.

My practice is organised around a simple and uncommon idea: recommend nothing that cannot be supported by a measurement. Body composition is assessed with seca mBCA Alpha medical bioimpedance, which segments the body and separates fat mass, skeletal muscle mass and body water, complemented by hand dynamometry for strength. Without that data any eating plan is a reasonable hypothesis; with it, it is a decision.

I practise in Spanish, English and Mandarin. I grew up between two cultures and I know what it means, for a Chinese family in Panama, to have to describe a symptom in a language that is not your own. That barrier leaves many consultations half finished, and in health that has consequences. Removing language as an obstacle is part of the service, not a courtesy.

I work with adults aged 18 to 59, both in metabolic prevention and in the treatment of already diagnosed conditions. I collaborate with your treating physician where there is one: clinical nutrition does not replace medication or medical follow-up, it complements them.
